I-Plan® extends the offering to include detailed scheduling and trim optimisation

I-Plan® now provides a complete planning solution from enterprise level strategic and tactical planning through to detailed scheduling and trim optimisation for paper, tissue, plastic film, converting, nonwovens and packaging industries. Well known for its cloud-based Sales and Operations Planning capability, I-Plan® has teamed up with Tieto to embed their Simplified Holistic Planning (SHP) and Trim Optimisation tools into I-Plan® to create a business and production planning solution with unrivaled capability.

It includes:

  • Long term strategic planning for ‘what if’ investment evaluation covering market opportunity and simulating plants, facilities, logistics, people and processes.
  • Medium term operational profitability driven demand and supply planning for complex multi-site manufactures serving global markets.
  • Short term production, inventory and distribution planning.
  • Real time detailed scheduling and trim optimisation.

The solution removes the headache of selecting and integrating multiple planning solutions for Sales and Operations Planning and detailed scheduling in such industries as corrugating and converting, flexible packaging, liquid packaging and plastic film as well as primary manufactures in paper, tissue, plastics and metals where complex multi-stage finishing processes are frequently the bottleneck.

“It continues to surprise me how well we play together between our Tieto team and I-Plan. This new and impressive solution is greater  evidence on the list”

Jarmo Ropponen, Tieto

The end to end solution works from the single common data model within I-Plan which means no integration or duplication of data within the Tieto components ensuring that everyone has the same view of the business, at whatever level they are working. The system can be delivered through the I-Plan® Cloud platform or through public cloud providers such as Amazon, or locally hosted within your corporate in-house or external IT services infrastructure.
